Engineering Supervisor

Overview:

This role will support the Engineering management and will be responsible for providing both technical and administrative assistance throughout the engineering department. Working as a key member of our team, we expect that our chosen individual will be hands-on, highly organized and highly motivated. This role will be critical to ensuring proper guest satisfaction and quick resolution for any maintenance issues.

Responsibilities:
Assist Engineering managment with the full upkeep of the preventative maintenance, including the keeping of logs on work done, scheduling and the assignment of projects and other related tasks.
Assist Engineering management with the procurement of supplies and the issuance of purchase orders.
Ensure CARE and PRP programs are properly maintained and inspect rooms after work is complete.
Manage Synergy application daily to plan and update as needed.
Review work orders and assign work by priorities.
Maintain up-to-date inventories of heat, light & power and repair and maintenance supplies.
Respond to guest requests.
Work with the Engineering staff on a shift basis and coordinate their activities.
Assume full responsibility for the Engineering Department in the absence of the Engineering management.
Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.
Have a thorough understanding of Omni's job scenarios.
Must be familiar with Omni's Systems and Services procedures.

Qualifications:
3+ years of experience within an upscale hotel or resort engineering team is preferred.
Prior leadership experience is strongly preferred.
Must be willing to work based on business levels and occupancy levels.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays. Candidate must be organized and manage his/her time as there will be more than one task starting at the same time.
Candidate must be able to not only follow direction but be able to think on their feet.
Must be able to interact and communicate with the hotel guests.
Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC and Swimming Pool knowledge is preferred.
Candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience supervising a team of 5 or more employees
