About the Role:
We are seeking a hands-on Project Engineer with strong experience in Windows server builds, VMware, and multi-site infrastructure deployments. This role focuses entirely on project execution, not daily operations or desktop support.
You will lead infrastructure buildouts, server deployments, data center projects, and practice/clinic integrations across multiple U.S. locations. Ideal candidates thrive in fast-paced environments and can independently manage 10+ concurrent technical projects
What You’ll Do:
Infrastructure Project Execution
• Lead planning and execution of IT infrastructure projects across multiple sites.
• Build and configure servers from scratch (hardware, OS, networking).
• Execute projects involving:
• Server builds
• Data center builds (servers, storage, VMware)
• VMware implementations
• Network refreshes (switches, firewalls, VLANs, routing)
• Storage migrations
• New site buildouts
Practice Integration Work
• Serve as the technical lead for onboarding new practices.
• Ensure infrastructure readiness: networks, servers, workstations, connectivity.
• Coordinate on-site work and remote configuration tasks.
Cross-Team Coordination
• Partner closely with internal IT teams, vendors, and project managers.
• Translate project goals into actionable engineering tasks and timelines.
• Provide documentation, updates, and clear communication throughout each project.
Other Responsibilities
• Manage ISP quotes, coordination, and installation scheduling.
• Contribute to improving deployment templates and playbooks.
• Support process improvements across the engineering and operations teams.
Required Qualifications:
• 8+ years experience in systems engineering, Windows Server, and infrastructure deployment.
• 5+ years hands-on project execution in IT (multi-site or healthcare preferred).
• Strong experience with:
• VMware (beyond lab use)
• Server builds and configuration
• Deploying network switches, firewalls, and server hardware
• Ability to manage 10+ active projects with autonomy.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in healthcare practice integrations or MSP-style environments.
• Exposure to Citrix environments (a plus).
• Networking knowledge (switch stacks, VLANs, routing, firewalls).
• Industry certifications such as Network+, CCNA, or Microsoft certifications.
Work Environment:
• 100% remote role with travel to practice locations across the U.S.

Compensation:
• Hourly Pay: $60–$68 (depending on experience)
