Network Engineer

Job Title: Network Engineer (Python/ML – 5G Wireless Networks)
Location: Basking Ridge, NJ (Day 1 Onsite)

Job Description:
We are looking for a Network Engineer with Python and Machine Learning experience to support 5G wireless network operations. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of telecom networks and experience working with data, automation, and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze network alarm data across RAN, Core, and transport networks
• Identify patterns, issues, and recurring network problems
• Build KPIs and metrics to track network performance and reliability
• Develop machine learning models for fault detection and prediction
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and anomaly detection
• Clean and process large datasets from multiple network systems
• Automate data pipelines and monitoring processes
• Work with big data tools like Spark and Hadoop
• Create dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Grafana
• Collaborate with NOC, engineering, and operations teams
• Provide insights to improve network performance and reduce downtime
• Support proactive maintenance and faster issue resolution

Required Skills:
Strong experience in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PySpark)
Experience with Machine Learning (clustering, classification, time-series)
Good understanding of 5G/4G wireless networks (RAN & Core)
Experience with network alarms and fault management systems (OSS/NMS/EMS)

• Knowledge of SQL, Spark, or Hadoop
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Grafana)
• Understanding of networking basics (IP, Ethernet)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering or telecom analytics
• Hands-on experience with Python and data analysis

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with real-time data processing or streaming
• Knowledge of telecom KPIs (SLA, MTTR, availability)
• Experience working with cross-functional or global teams

Nice to Have:

• Experience in 5G operations or network reliability engineering
• Strong communication and presentation skills
