Junior Test Engineer / Integration Testing

Job Title: Software Integration Test Engineer

What You ll Do

• Perform integration testing throughout the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to ensure high-quality software releases.

• Work closely with software development teams to verify that appropriate integration tests are executed correctly.

• Collaborate with other Software Integration Test Engineers to develop comprehensive integration test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.

• Execute integration testing on target instruments in a laboratory environment.

• Complete software integration activities for development user stories within an Agile SDLC framework.

• Conduct exploratory testing and system-level, end-to-end integration testing that reflects real-world, customer day-to-day use scenarios.

• Investigate, document, and report unexpected events, defects, or software issues, and verify fixes.

• Travel requirement: Minimal.

Education and Experience You ll Bring

• Bachelor s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.

• Solid understanding of integration test methodologies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated technical proficiency, creativity, and ability to work independently.

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities effectively.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-up capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience performing software integration testing of complex electromechanical systems.

• Experience working in the medical device industry and/or an FDA-regulated environment.

• Hands-on experience with complex diagnostic medical equipment; experience with Abbott IVD systems is a strong plus.

• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies.
