About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced
Network Automation Engineer to help modernize and automate our
enterprise on-prem network infrastructure and support integration into
Microsoft Azure. This role focuses on
network-to-code, infrastructure automation, and application modernization in a hybrid environment. This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on with
Python-driven automation, understands enterprise networking at scale, and has experience automating
network, firewall, and load-balancing platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain network-to-code automation using Nautobot as the Source of Truth
- Automate network builds and lifecycle management using Python, Ansible, and Terraform
- Engineer and automate Cisco and Arista routing and switching environments
- Automate and manage enterprise security platforms:
- Check Point Firewalls
- Palo Alto Firewalls
- Engineer and automate F5 BIG-IP load balancing
- Support on-prem to Azure hybrid networking and connectivity
- Partner with application teams to retrofit and modernize legacy applications
- Establish automation standards, documentation, and Git-based workflows
Required Qualifications- 7+ years of experience in enterprise networking or infrastructure engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with network automation / infrastructure as code
- Proficiency in:
- Experience with Cisco and Arista network platforms
- Experience supporting or automating:
- Firewalls (Check Point, Palo Alto)
- Load balancers (F5 BIG-IP)
- Experience working in on-prem enterprise environments
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud networking and Microsoft Azure integration
Nice to Have- Nautobot Jobs and data modeling experience
- CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation
- Azure networking (ExpressRoute, VPN, hybrid design)
- Experience in large enterprise or regulated environments
- Open-source or GitHub automation projects

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Buffalo, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $44.99 - $74.98/hr.
