Description:
We are seeking a hands-on System Integration & Test Engineer to support the planning, execution, and analysis of complex system and subsystem tests. The role involves working with electrical and mechanical drawings, authoring test plans, conducting environmental testing, and coordinating with cross-functional teams. This position suits candidates who enjoy technical problem solving, field testing, and working independently in both lab and outdoor environments.
You will support full-cycle test engineering including requirements analysis, test planning, instrumentation setup, execution, data acquisition, troubleshooting, report creation, and stakeholder coordination. This role requires strong hands-on technical diagnostic skills and experience leading test activities.
Responsibilities:
Develop, refine, and execute system and subsystem test plans, procedures, and schedules.
Analyze customer requirements and translate them into effective test solutions.
Interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and hardware/software interfaces.
Set up and operate test instrumentation, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic tools.
Conduct environmental and field testing in lab and outdoor environments.
Collect, validate, and analyze test data to evaluate system performance.
Prepare detailed test reports, discrepancy reports, and regression testing documentation.
Lead and coordinate test activities with leadership, customers, and range personnel.
Present technical test plans and results to multiple stakeholders.
Troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues during integration and testing.
Travel as required to support off-site test locations.
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of experience interpreting electrical & mechanical drawings/schematics.
3+ years of experience using basic shop tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic tools.
3+ years of experience troubleshooting electrical & mechanical systems.
3+ years authoring test plans, procedures, and reports.
3+ years developing and delivering technical presentations.
3+ years environmental testing experience.
3+ years' experience setting up instrumentation, collecting, and analyzing test data.
Experience coordinating tests with leadership, customers, and range personnel.
Experience planning, leading, and executing complex test events.
Ability to travel and work in both laboratory and outdoor environments.
Able to work independently with limited supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in aerospace, defense, or hardware-intensive environments.
Exposure to COTS/GOTS systems integration.
Background in system engineering, integration, or hardware test.
Familiarity with data acquisition systems and automated test tools.
