Job Opportunity: IT SUPPORT / Service Desk / IT Transition Engineers

Role Type: 5-Month Contract-to-Hire (Right-to-Hire)

Location: Remote (EST or CST Preferred)

Travel: Required (Frequency TBD; Includes some weekends)

Must Have :

• Desktop environments
• Networking/telecom infrastructure
• Client/server and database fundamentals

Position Overview

As an IT Transition Engineer, you will be the technical lead for integrating newly acquired centers into the corporate IT ecosystem. This is a high-impact role involving environmental evaluation, strategy definition, and hands-on execution to ensure all locations meet global IT standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Discovery & Documentation: Evaluate and document "current-state" technical environments for new acquisitions.
• Architecture Design: Partner with internal teams to roadmap "future-state" architecture.
• Hardware Deployment: Prepare, configure, and coordinate the delivery of desktop hardware.
• Infrastructure Execution: * Install servers, routers, switches, and desktops.
• Execute application mapping and data migrations.
• Perform rigorous test plans and system validation.
• Post-Cutover Support: Provide onsite user setup and support; transition knowledge to the Service Desk.
• User Training: Train new employees on standard IT procedures and issue logging.

Technical Requirements (Must-Haves)

• Desktop Environments: Advanced proficiency in configuration and deployment.
• Networking & Telecom: Solid understanding of infrastructure (Routers, Switches, etc.).
• Client/Server & DB: Strong fundamentals in database structures and server-side applications.
• Experience: 4+ years in IT Support or Technical Operations.
• Education: Bachelor s degree or equivalent professional experience.
