Job Details

JOB DESCRIPTION

Work schedule is regular 8-5pm PST 5 days for 40 hours a week.

General Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for functions in support of engineering activities. This will include, but not limited to, installation and relocating of equipment, installing cabling (Coax, Ethernet, and fiber optics), supporting engineering lab equipment, and any other support activities required to support engineering.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily activities as defined by management to support engineering
  • Performing software and hardware upgrades
  • Installation of coax, Ethernet, and fiber optics cabling
  • Building racks and installing equipment following rack elevation and wiring diagrams
  • Able to work in priority order as defined by management and project leads
  • Assist with lab moves as well as cleaning and organization efforts

Required Competencies:
  • Familiarity of Windows 10 and/or Linux
  • Ability to following instructions and published documentation
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong customer service skills and time management
  • Ability to collaborate and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A willingness to learn and be flexible with daily job assignments

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP including DNS and DHCP
  • Basic understanding of Widows and/or Linux OS systems
  • Formal electronics education via military or trade school

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to perform repetitive actions such as going up and down a ladder or running cable over head
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs over short distances

Education Requirements:
  • Military communications, radar, electronics schooling
  • Associate degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology or similar, or equivalent work experience
