Oracle EBS Procurement Functional Architect
Oracle Sourcing - Full sourcing lifecycle including RFQs, sealed bids (IFB), open solicitations, and AutoGen-driven BPA replenishment. You'll configure negotiation document types, manage RFQ/custom templates, lead collaboration team setup, and guide suppliers through the response submission workflow. You know the R12.2.15 Sourcing homepage and sealed bid controls cold.
Supplier Qualification Management (SQM) - End-to-end: qualification initiative creation, supplier invitation, questionnaire design, scoring, evaluation workflow, and outcome management. You understand how qualification status surfaces in the iSupplier Portal, and you can speak confidently to R12.2.15-specific behavior and limitations compared to prior releases.
Oracle Procurement Contracts - CPA, BPA, standard T&C application, capital procurement tracking, and co-op/GSA contract management. You'll configure T&C templates, manage versioning and application across procurement scenarios, track deliverables, and know exactly where the product fits natively versus where customization is required. You also bring hands-on knowledge of R12.1.3 Procurement Contracts data structures for conversion mapping to R12.2.15.
Oracle Purchasing - Full Req-to-PO lifecycle across all scenario types: inventory and expense requisitions, auto-create PO, Blanket Releases, Planned POs, and Contract POs. You'll configure AME approval hierarchies, manage the Buyer Work Center, and know how PO acknowledgment works from the supplier side in iSupplier.
Oracle iSupplier Portal - Architecture (DMZ-hosted, separate from main EBS tier), supplier access model, notification configuration (worklist, Oracle notification bell, email across environments), ITP workflow, supplier PDF printable view, and access control. You've delivered the supplier experience end to end.
Functional-to-Technical Bridge
This role requires more than functional expertise. You'll translate confirmed business requirements into precise technical specifications - independently, without requiring developer interpretation. Specifically, you will:
- Produce Functional Design Documents (FDDs) for all customizations, reports, and integration items in scope
- Classify each open item as native EBS fitment, a confirmed product limitation, or a customization candidate - with effort sizing
- Support BI Publisher development: data model design, RTF/XSL template creation, concurrent program linkage, and environment migration
- Define functional specifications for EBS inbound/outbound interfaces and lead integration test scenario development
- Participate in nightly and weekly technical syncs; coordinate cross-wave dependencies with the Wave 1 team
- Manage all open items in JIRA (or equivalent) as tracked Action/Decision items through to closure
Version Expertise Required
You must be current on both:
- R12.1.3 - including version-specific limitations, Procurement Contracts data structures (for conversion work), Sourcing and iSupplier behavior differences
- R12.2.15 - including current UI and functional behavior, ADOP/online patching awareness, OCI environment chain (GOLD $B"*(J DEV $B"*(J SIT $B"*(J TEST $B"*(J UAT $B"*(J PRD), and EBS EXACC connectivity nuances
Qualifications
- 12+ years of Oracle EBS Procurement Suite delivery - functional and functional-technical combined
- 3+ full-cycle EBS upgrades or implementations at Lead SME level, covering all five modules
- 2+ projects with technical bridge accountability: FDD production, BI Publisher, data conversion, or integration
- Hands-on experience with SQL/PL/SQL for issue investigation, data validation, and report data model support
- Proven ability to lead CRP and UAT sessions independently with business stakeholders - without escalation dependency
- Strong communicator who earns business trust, responds authoritatively to gap questions, and drives decisions to closure
