The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support a large-scale enterprise data transformation initiative for a leading financial services client. This role requires a business analyst with deep data expertise who can bridge business and technology teams, define data requirements, and ensure business processes are accurately represented within a modern cloud-based data platform. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with knowledge of the secondary mortgage industry and experience working across complex data ecosystems.

What You'll Do

  • Perform data lineage analysis, data profiling, and data mapping across enterprise systems to understand how data supports business processes and target state capabilities.
  • Define business requirements and user stories for data enablement teams implementing cloud-based data ingestion and integration patterns.
  • Analyze event-driven and entity-based data models, mapping legacy data assets to target state architectures while identifying gaps and transformation requirements.
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define business-aligned data requirements, assess business impacts of target state designs, and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Provide senior business analysis leadership by supporting planning, defining acceptance criteria, overseeing deliverable quality, coordinating QA and UAT activities, and leveraging AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, and other approved LLMs to improve analysis efficiency.

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of Business Analysis experience supporting enterprise data, analytics, or technology transformation programmes.
  • Strong experience with data lineage, data profiling, data mapping, business process analysis, and requirements elicitation.
  • Experience defining requirements for cloud-based data platforms and modern data ingestion architectures.
  • Working knowledge of event-driven and entity-based data models, data governance principles, and enterprise data architecture concepts.
  • Domain knowledge of the secondary mortgage industry, including one or more of loan sourcing, underwriting, servicing, securitization, or capital markets operations.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience working with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with Agile delivery methodologies, Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar requirements management tools.
  • Experience supporting enterprise data modernization or large-scale legacy system transformation initiatives.
