The IT Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and enabling technology solutions that support enterprise transformation initiatives, operational excellence, and business growth. This role partners closely with application development teams, infrastructure teams, project managers, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensure technology solutions align with enterprise standards, scalability requirements, security practices, and strategic objectives.
The IT Architect serves as ahands-on technical leader who provides architectural guidance across multipleinitiatives, balancing innovation, modernization, and operational execution.The role is instrumental in advancing AI, automation, cloud, integration, andmodernization efforts while reducing delivery risk and improving organizationalagility.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Solution Architecture
Design and document end-to-end solution architectures for enterprise and operational initiatives.
Evaluate business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and supportable technology solutions.
Provide architectural guidance throughout the project lifecycle from concept through implementation.
Ensure alignment between business objectives, application architecture, infrastructure, data, integration, and security requirements.
AI and Automation Enablement
Partner with development and business teams to identify opportunities for AI and automation adoption.
Define architectural patterns and standards that accelerate delivery of automation and AI initiatives.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic solutions that improve efficiency, productivity, and customer outcomes.
Support the integration of AI capabilities into existing enterprise applications and workflows.
Architecture Governance
Participate in architecture reviews and technology assessments.
Establish and enforce enterprise architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices.
Provide technical oversight to ensure solutions comply with security, compliance, performance, and operational requirements.
Assist with technology roadmaps, technical debt reduction strategies, and modernization planning.
Project and Delivery Support
Serve as the architecture lead for multiple concurrent projects and strategic initiatives.
Collaborate with project managers, product owners, developers, and infrastructure teams to resolve technical challenges.
Evaluate technical risks and provide mitigation strategies to improve project delivery success.
Review solution designs, code architecture, integrations, and technical documentation.
Technology Strategy andModernization
Contribute to enterprise technology roadmaps and digital transformation initiatives.
Support cloud adoption, application modernization, API integration strategies, and platform optimization efforts.
Identify opportunities to improve system scalability, resiliency, and maintainability.
Recommend solutions that balance business value, cost, performance, and operational supportability.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
5-8 years of experience in solution architecture, software engineering, technical leadership, or related IT roles.
Experience designing enterprise-scale applications and integrations.
Strong understanding of cloud platforms, APIs, application architecture, and enterprise systems.
Experience working with Agile delivery teams and product-oriented organizations.
Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
Experience evaluating technical risks and guiding solution decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AI, automation, intelligent workflow, or machine learning initiatives.
Experience supporting healthcare, pharmacy, or highly regulated industry environments.
Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and API management platforms.
Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or similar methodologies.
Experience with cloud-native architectures and modernization initiatives.
Relevant cloud, architecture, or technology certifications.
