Important Requirements

Short Description

VDACS BA4 – In-Person Interviews Required
Hybrid role requiring 4 days onsite and 1 day remote each week. Candidate must be local to Virginia, with preference for Richmond area candidates.

Role Description / Daily Responsibilities

  • Conduct project initiation activities to identify business problems, objectives, and issues.
  • Gather, analyze, and document requirements for new applications or enhancements.
  • Work with business and IT teams to produce SDLC-compliant Requirements Definition documentation.
  • Ensure requirements are clear, complete, and meet agency standards.
  • Assist with development of templates and documentation standards as needed.
  • Participate in Scrum meetings to represent business needs during development.
  • Write and execute system test plans to validate requirements.
  • Perform manual testing of web applications.
  • Document defects with enough detail for developers to reproduce and fix.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by developing testing scripts.

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in business/system analysis and requirements documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience defining business processes and mapping them into new systems.
  • Experience supporting application development, maintenance, and implementation.
  • Strong experience writing and executing test plans and scripts.
  • Experience conducting meetings and documenting decisions.
  • Ability to identify and document web application defects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with web application development projects using .NET
  • Experience documenting requirements using Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)
