We are currently seeking an innovative and dedicated Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in exciting projects while working in a team of seasoned engineers. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all engineering and technical aspects of our projects to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, design, develop, create and maintain small to large-scale projects in coordination with the project manager.
- Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications.
- Assess potential risks, materials, and costs.
- Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems or deficiencies.
- Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
- Handle over the resulting structures and services for use.
- Monitor progress and compile reports in project status.
- Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety, etc. and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.
- Use design software to plan and design transportation systems, hydraulic systems, and structures in line with industry and government standards.
- Perform or oversee soil testing to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations.
- Test building materials, such as concrete, asphalt, or steel, for use in particular projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of engineering, technology, building, construction, and design.
- Proficient in the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Familiar with scientific rules and methods to solve problems.
- Excellent mathematical skills.
- Ability to manage a team of professionals.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to think methodically and to manage projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and to lead one.
- Proficient in design software.
- Proven working experience in project management.
- Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
- Project management and supervision skills.
- Decision-making ability and leadership skills.
- Current engineer license.
- Time management and organization skills.
