Description:
Scope of Tasks: Role & Responsibilities for the EDI Expert:
The resource should possess strong technical and functional expertise in EDI and will be responsible for the following activities:
Lead end-to-end EDI solution design aligned with business requirements and SAP best practices.
Configure, develop, and support EDI integrations across SAP S/4HANA, middleware, and third-party partner systems.
Manage EDI message standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, IDoc, XML, etc.) including mapping, transformation, and validation.
Coordinate onboarding of trading partners, including connectivity setup, testing, certification, and production readiness.
Support integration with middleware platforms (e.g., SAP Integration Suite/CPI, PI/PO, or other EDI translators).
Troubleshoot EDI failures, monitor message processing, and ensure timely resolution of defects and incidents.
Establish monitoring, alerting, and reconciliation mechanisms to ensure data accuracy and transmission reliability.
Collaborate with functional teams (OTC, P2P, Logistics, Finance, etc.) to validate business scenarios and document EDI process flows.
Prepare and maintain technical and functional documentation, including mappings, interface catalogs, and support procedures.
Support SIT, UAT, and go-live readiness activities, including defect resolution and cutover coordination.
Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements related to electronic data exchange.
Work closely with business stakeholders, SAP teams, and external partners to drive issue resolution and continuous improvement.
