Java FSD with AWS Connect principle engineers

Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer with deep expertise in Java Full Stack Development and AWS Connect to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of large-scale, cloud-native customer engagement and enterprise application platforms. This role will drive technical strategy, mentor engineering teams, and ensure delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions across digital channels and contact center ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Technical Leadership
Define and drive end-to-end architecture for enterprise applications using Java, Microservices, and Cloud-native patterns
Lead design and implementation of AWS Connect-based Contact Center solutions
Establish best practices for scalability, resiliency, observability, and security
Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Product Owners, and Business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical governance

Full Stack Development
Design and develop backend services using:

Java 11/17+

Spring Boot, Spring Cloud

REST / GraphQL APIs

Lead frontend architecture using:

React / Angular / Vue (preferably React)

TypeScript, modern UI frameworks

Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka / SNS / SQS

AWS Connect & Customer Experience Engineering
Architect and implement:

AWS Connect Contact Flows

Amazon Lex Chatbots

Lambda integrations

Real-time and batch data integrations

Integrate AWS Connect with:

CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)

Case management platforms

Payment gateways

Identity providers (Okta, Cognito, Azure AD)

Cloud & DevOps Leadership
Design cloud-native solutions leveraging:

AWS (Connect, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, Aurora, S3, CloudFront)

Drive Infrastructure as Code using:

Terraform / CloudFormation

Define CI/CD strategies using:

GitHub Actions / Jenkins / GitLab CI

Implement monitoring using:

CloudWatch, Splunk, Datadog, ELK

Data & Integration
Design high-performance data flows and integrations across enterprise systems

Lead API strategy including:

API Gateway design

Security (OAuth2, JWT, mTLS)

Rate limiting and throttling

Ensure data governance and compliance standards

Mentorship & Organizational Impact
Mentor senior engineers and architects

Drive engineering standards, coding guidelines, and architecture principles

Lead POCs and technology evaluations

Partner with leadership for roadmap planning and technical strategy

Required Qualifications
12+ years in software engineering with strong Java Full Stack experience

5+ years working in AWS Cloud ecosystem

3+ years hands-on experience with AWS Connect implementations

Strong experience in Microservices and Distributed Systems

Expertise in API design and event-driven architecture

Experience leading large-scale enterprise transformation programs

Preferred Qualifications
Experience integrating AWS Connect with Salesforce / ServiceNow

Knowledge of Contact Center domain (IVR, CTI, Omnichannel routing)

Experience with AI-driven customer experience (Lex, Bedrock, ML models)

Prior experience in Banking, Healthcare, or Government domains

AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect / DevOps / Connect Specialty)
