The Opportunity:
This position is for a Systems Engineer in either Aurora, CO or King of Prussia, PA. You will be working closely with a talented team to deliver a complex software application into operations. You will play a critical role in the development and integration of software systems by applying model-based approaches to define, analyze, and manage system requirements and designs in an Agile software development context
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain system architecture and design models using MBSE tools and methodologies
Manage requirements lifecycle including creation, traceability, flow-down, allocation, and compliance matrices across distributed teams
Decompose system requirements and collaborate with multi-disciplined teams to generate efficient and scalable solutions
Develop and execute verification and validation activities including test procedures, model simulations, and formal verification events
Support trade studies, impact analyses, and design reviews with digital artifacts
Participate in program milestone events including customer meetings, government testing events, and discrepancy review boards
Generate technical documentation including test results, verification reports, and design validation artifacts
Qualifications:
Required:
Active TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering discipline
Minimum 3+ years of systems engineering experience with at least 1 year applying Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles
Working knowledge of SysML and proficiency with MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler or equivalent)
Demonstrated experience in requirements management including development, traceability, flow-down, and verification planning across system lifecycle
Experience developing test procedures and verification artifacts to validate system requirements
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams
Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively across distributed teams in fast-paced environments
Desired:
OMG SysML Model Builder Fundamental or OMG SysML Model User certification
Experience with advanced MBSE capabilities including model integration, system simulation, and digital engineering workflows
Proficiency with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, DOORS Next Generation, or equivalent)
Experience with modeling frameworks such as UAF (Unified Architecture Framework) or Magic Grid
Knowledge of scripting or automation for requirements verification, model validation, or test automation
Experience with software-defined interfaces and data formats (XML, JSON, YAML) for interface specifications
Familiarity with cloud architectures, containerization, and deployment requirements for US DoD environments
Experience supporting government testing events, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and formal verification processes
Domain knowledge in SATCOM, GEOINT, or related mission systems
IAT Level II or III certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent)
Experience with GitLab, Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile collaboration and DevOps tools
Demonstrated ability to balance technical requirements with business needs and contribute to strategic decision-making

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$69,100-$141,500
