Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Associate Scientist for an Onsite position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in Cambridge, MA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role involves performing experiments, organizing data, and analyzing results within a laboratory setting. The ideal candidate will plan and conduct experiments, record and interpret data, and ensure studies are conducted in compliance with established protocols and applicable guidelines.
Responsibilities: - Monitor or follow established experimental design and protocols to perform routine tasks and studies
- Plan, monitor, conduct, analyze, and record experiments, providing interpretation of data
- Effectively transfer experimental methods from literature to the lab and make modifications as necessary
- Develop and implement new protocols with moderate review
- Communicate data and interpretation to the work group
- Develop systems to ensure quality data and effectively troubleshoot equipment and experimental difficulties
- Contribute to internal/external reports, papers, presentations, and regulatory documents
- Participate in department-wide support efforts and may train or supervise others
- Coordinate and organize resources needed to complete tasks
Requirements: - Master's degree OR Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience OR Associate's degree and 4 years of experience OR High school diploma / GED and 6 years of experience
- Experience with laboratory work and writing technical reports/protocols
- Background in Chemical or Biomedical Engineering
- Skilled and knowledgeable in the use of standard laboratory equipment and techniques
- Ability to perform data mining and analysis
Desired skills: - Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or Analytical Chemistry
- Experience in a Biopharmaceutical working environment
Pay range: up to $30.32 per hour
