Role Overview
The Digital Services Technical Lead will possess the technical skills to drive innovation and collaboration among diverse teams including Software Developers, AWS Site Reliability Engineers, and Security experts. This is a hands-on technical role where expertise is required to mature current software development and ensure continuous delivery of applications. The position involves overseeing and implementing a range of technology transformation initiatives, particularly those involving artificial intelligence and advanced analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical design, development, and solutioning for new technology and implementations.
- Act as a key technical leader to advance software development and the continuous delivery of applications.
- Oversee and implement technology transformation initiatives, focusing on artificial intelligence and advanced digital solutions.
- Assess technical and business environments to understand impacts and risks, providing executive-level communication.
- Respond to RFIs and draft technical approach responses that align with strategic roadmaps.
- Utilize modern tools and observability metrics to identify and troubleshoot platform issues and drive improvements.
- Prioritize and manage customer issues from start to finish.
- Create and review documentation for incident events, root cause analysis, and standard operating procedures.
Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field is required.
Experience: 8-10 years of experience is required, with a preference for 12+ years of experience building or operating on AWS, networking, IT Security tools, and databases.
Clearance: Must be eligible and willing to obtain and maintain, or already possess, a Public Trust clearance. Must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years.
Technical Skills:- Hands-on technical expertise in DevSecOps, security, automation, application development, databases, implementation, integration, and release management.
- Experience with establishing and maturing application development and CI/CD towards progressive delivery.
- Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes-based containerized applications (AWS EKS), including spring boot-based services.
- Experience with Gitlab CI/CD, including enabling environments, feature flags, and DORA Metrics aggregation.
- Proficiency with observability tools such as Datadog and monitoring tools in an AWS Cloud environment like CloudWatch and OpenSearch.
- Coding proficiency in at least one software language (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby).
- Must be eligible for and willing to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Must have lived in the United States for 3 out of the past 5 years.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Solutions Architect - Professional Certification.
- AWS Certified Security - Specialty Certification.
