Duties

Help

  • Development and maintenance of emergency and contingency documentation
  • Performs a wide range of tasks/projects, independently or as a member of a team, in the administration, development, delivery and support of IT applications, systems, and services.
  • Utilizes experience, discretion, judgment and knowledge in the planning, execution, operation and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure Participates as a team or project leader with others in a virtual environment accountable to the EPR Supervisor.
  • Creates and maintains documentation on IT systems and infrastructure to include configuration standards, as-built diagrams and historical and trending information.
  • Satellite Communications Knowledge

This position is Bargaining Unit eligible.

This position is primarily aligned to the following NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework work roles:

  • 431 - Knowledge Management

Work Schedule: M-F, 8am-4:30pm

Compressed/Flexible: Compressed/flexible schedule available at the manager's discretion

Telework: Ad hoc/situational as determined by agency policy.

  • To be considered for this position, you must complete all required steps in the process. In addition to the application and questionnaire, this position requires an online assessment. The online assessment measures critical general competencies required to perform the job.
  • Physical Requirements: The work is typically sedentary but may involve intermediate periods of walking, bending, stooping, lifting, carrying, moving (up to 50 pounds) computer components and supplies, reaching, pulling, and working at a keyboard and monitor. Subject to call back outside tour of duty. The work required does not inherently include any physical requirements essential for successful job performance that could not otherwise be performed with accommodation or workplace adjustment. A pre-placement physical examination is not required.
  • You may be required to serve a probationary period
  • Subject to background/security investigation
  • Selected applicants will be required to complete an online onboarding process. Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 09/11/2026.

You may qualify based on your experience as described below:

  • Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-11 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: experience configuring and managing cellular routers, provisioning endpoints, establishing and managing wired and wireless networks, conducting testing and tracking readiness of emergency communications equipment..
