Job Title: UAT Tester
Location: Dallas, TX
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Client Industry: Banking
Duration: 12 -18 months Contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday
MUST HAVES
- 2 3+ years of User Acceptance Testing experience (script creation & execution)
- Hands-on experience with Octane for test script execution and defect management
- Experience using JIRA, including story creation
- Strong understanding of general ledger settlements and flow of financial transactions ( following the money )
- Knowledge of banking operations (strong plus)
- Experience with Check Exceptions repair and Check Returns
- Ideal candidate will be either very strong from a testing perspective or bring strong banking/financial operations experience related to Return Item Processing.
DAY-TO-DAY:
- Partnering with 3 experienced team members and other contractors to create and execute test scripts
- Participating in regular standups and meetings with the tech team
- Engaging with both technical and business partners regarding build timelines and test readiness
- Heavy virtual collaboration via phone, Teams, and Webex
- Primarily executing pre-written scripts (with some involvement in script creation as applicable)
- Creation of bugs in JIRA and execution of test scripts in Octane
- Ensuring that system changes maintain accurate transaction flow and compliance standards
- Use of Copilot and other tools for gained efficiency where possible
- Assist with testing across projects as needed based on available capacity
Compensation
Hourly Rate: 45$-52$ per hour
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
