Crew software engineering associates use a variety of technologies in Agile and lean startup methodologies to automate manual processes, create microsites, learn new technologies, and everything in between.
Responsibilities:
Designing Software
Apply technical knowledge to work with other engineers to deliver outcomes
Participate in low level design for the product area/within the team
Ability to work and problem solve collaboratively on initiatives that align to the broader software engineering strategy
Implementing Solutions
Use independent, critical thinking to solve complex problems which are significant to the customer
Member of team that can work collaboratively with team, in developing core software for the product that delivers outcomes
Learning and Applying New Techniques
Seek out opportunities to learn new technologies that improve the product and its lifecycle
Collaborating within Team
Participate in team's collaboration sessions to provide technical expertise to solve a problem/remove technical roadblocks for the team
DevOps
Participate in the team support rotation and builds knowledge on focus subsystems
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical field or equivalent work experience
0 to 2 years of Application Engineering experience
Understanding of at least one programming language and design technique
Knowledge of at least one Operating System and/or one Application Development Platform
Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures
Knowledge of systems and software design concepts
Knowledge/experience with querying databases for data lookup/update
The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $105,000 or the hourly equivalent.
