We have a DC-based opportunity for a Records Management Specialist 2 with the following scope and requirements:
Position Summary
The Records Management Specialist 2 supports NIinformation management, FOIA, and
Privacy Act operations. This individual manages records and request workflows in accordance
with Federal privacy and legal requirements, maintains content and reporting on Microsoft 365
and Salesforce platforms, and produces accurate, well-proofed work products.

Key Responsibilities
Perform records management activities in accordance with Federal Government privacy and
legal requirements.
Assist in the development of analyses and reports associated with Freedom of Information
Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act (PA) processes.
Manage the flow of FOIA and PA correspondence and requests, and establish processes that
provide prompt responses to requestors in accordance with FOIA policies, procedures, and
guidelines.
Perform technical tasks involved in maintaining the Salesforce Customer Relationship
Management (CRM) system.
Participate in the development of information management policies and the governance of
supporting applications on Microsoft 365 and Salesforce platforms.
Manage SharePoint site content and permissions.
Create and execute PowerShell scripts to produce reports and perform records management
tasks.
Compile data for reports, transcribe reports, and maintain indexes.
Ensure that all work products are proofread and free of errors, omissions, and inconsistencies.

Required Qualifications
Minimum of three years performing in a records management or information management
role, with demonstrated hands-on experience in FOIA and Privacy Act processes. Hands-on
experience is mandatory and may not be substituted.
Working proficiency with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint content and permissions
administration, Salesforce CRM, and PowerShell scripting for reporting and records tasks.
Relevant industry certifications are preferred where practicable, such as the NARA
Knowledge Area certificates, Certified Records Manager (CRM), Information Governance
Professional (IGP), Salesforce Administrator, or a Microsoft 365 certification. Relevant
certifications may be substituted for a formal college degree; hands-on experience may not
be substituted.

Clearance and Work Conditions
Place of performance: primarily onsite at NIHeadquarters, 550 12th Street SW,
Washington, DC 20024. Limited remote work may be authorized at the discretion of the
Federal Task Manager.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding Federal holidays.
Successfully complete applicable background investigations and obtain and maintain a Public
Trust clearance.
Execute a Non-Disclosure Agreement, comply with all NIpolicies, and acknowledge and
sign the NIRules of Behavior.
Obtain a Government-issued PIV Card and use only Government-furnished equipment to
access the NIenvironment
