Job Description:
  • Reconciliation Analyst, Shared Services
  • Seeking an Analyst to join the Investment Operations Shared Services Team supporting the reconciliation function of invested assets.
  • The Shared Services Reconciliation Team supports various investment types including public equity, investment grade and high yield debt, structured credit (MBS/CMO), private credit, bank loans and derivatives.
  • The Analyst will work with the team members and Manager and is responsible for supporting team deliverables/mandates.
  • Expected to foster an environment of continuous improvement and assist/participate in initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and control.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Review aging reconciliation reports to ensure that exceptions are validated, query owners on items that are outside determined thresholds
  • Ensure exceptions are resolved in timely manner, provide updates to Lead regularly and escalate as needed.
  • Review outstanding cash and holding reconciliation items for potential material impact and ensure timely resolutions. Escalate items as needed.
  • Ensure cash and holding reconciliation breaks have proper backup support for each monthly close
  • Ensure SLA requirements for internal and external parties are managed efficiently and effectively
  • Keep Lead(s) and rest of team updated on progress of work, and communicate issues/delays timely to avoid missed deadlines
  • Ensure work is completed thoroughly and accurately before submitting for review
  • Review workflows and identify process improvements, and ways to make workflows more efficient.
  • Escalate any issues or delays, pertaining to the items above, or other assigned tasks, to the Lead as soon as possible.
  • Participate in other daily tasks as needed per the direction of the Lead or Manager.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field is required.
  • Requires a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in Investment Operations.
  • Working knowledge across various investment strategies and products.
  • Strong business aptitude and time management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially excel, and propensity to quickly learn new applications, processes, and areas of business.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work effectively independently and within a team.
Preferred:
  • Familiarity with BlackRock Aladdin, and SimCorp Dimension is preferred but not required.
Manager Intake Call Notes:
  • Max Bill Rate: $70 /hr
  • Location: Remote EST REQUIRED (Boston preferred with hybrid 2X a week schedule)
  • Duration: 6 months with possible extension
  • Contract to Hire: Unlikely, will be covering maternity leave
  • Interviews: 2-3 interviews
  • Preferred Industries: Experience in Investments with an asset manager
Pay Range: $45 - $50/hr.

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
