Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with strong experience in the Healthcare or Insurance domain. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in building scalable enterprise applications using Java technologies and possess a solid understanding of EDI transactions, insurance claims processing, member enrollment, provider data management, or payer systems. Experience working with HIPAA-compliant applications and healthcare integration projects is highly preferred.
Required Technical Skills
8+ years of experience in Java development.
Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Microservices.
Experience with RESTful APIs and distributed systems architecture.
Strong knowledge of SQL/Oracle/PostgreSQL/MySQL databases.
Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Maven, and Docker.
Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized deployments.
Healthcare / Insurance Domain Requirements
Strong experience in healthcare payer, Insurance, or Managed Care environments.
Understanding of healthcare business processes including:

Member Enrollment
Provider Management
Eligibility & Benefits
Prior Authorization
Care Management
Working knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare regulatory requirements.
EDI & Claims Experience (Mandatory)
Experience working with EDI transactions in healthcare.
Experience with healthcare integrations using EDI, X12 standards, or clearinghouses.
Hands-on involvement in claims adjudication or claims modernization projects.
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot EDI transaction failures and claim processing issues.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale healthcare/insurance applications.
Build and support microservices-based solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
Integrate applications with healthcare partners, payers, providers, and third-party vendors.
Develop and support EDI interfaces and claims processing workflows.
Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and healthcare SMEs to gather requirements.
Perform code reviews, unit testing, performance tuning, and production support.
Ensure compliance with healthcare industry standards and security requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with healthcare payer platforms.
Knowledge of FHIR, HL7, or healthcare interoperability standards.
Exposure to Facets, QNXT, HealthRules, TriZetto, or similar payer systems.
Relevant cloud certifications (AWS/Azure).
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
