Job Overview:
Pay Range: $35.00hr - $40.00hr
Requirement/Must Have:
- 4-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- 5+ years of experience in IT Customer Support/Service.
- 2+ years of experience in Service Ticket Management.
- 2+ years of experience in Desktop Application Support.
- 2+ years of experience in Documentation Support.
- 2+ years of experience in Desktop/Laptop Hardware Support.
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
- Experience with VMware ESXi 7.x or higher preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022, 2025) preferred.
- Experience with Linux environments preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, documentation, operation, and maintenance of computer hardware and software and related infrastructure.
- Perform systems administration engineering and provisioning, operations and support, maintenance, and research and development to ensure continual innovation.
- Install new or rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
- Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
- Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
- Perform and verify daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up.
- Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary.
- Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.
- Provide Tier III and other support per request from various constituencies.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, diagnose, and recover from hardware or software failures.
- Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies regarding system issues.
- Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
- Configure and add new services as necessary.
- Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.
- Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
- Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
- Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment.
- Upgrade and configure system software or Asset Management applications per project or operational needs.
