We are looking for Component Engineer for our client in Sunnyvale, CA

Job Title: Component Engineer

Job Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $71.29hr - $76.29hr

Manage component qualification and supplier development activities.
Execute supplier quality processes including process validations, inspections, and capability analysis.
Collaborate with suppliers to drive cost reduction, capacity improvements, and risk mitigation.
Select appropriate suppliers and manufacturing processes based on quality, cost, and long-term strategy.
Manage supplier changes including process updates, equipment validation, and production optimization.
Initiate and manage engineering change orders for specifications and design updates.
Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier issues.
Handle multiple projects simultaneously and communicate status to stakeholders.
Develop supplier performance metrics and ensure continuous improvement.
Support new product introduction activities including supplier readiness and ramp planning.
Collaborate with engineering teams for design for manufacturability improvements.
Evaluate and resolve customer complaints and manufacturing issues.
Provide data-driven insights on supplier performance to management.

Requirement/Must Have:

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with a bachelor s degree in engineering, or equivalent experience with advanced degree.
Strong experience in supplier quality and manufacturing processes.
Proven experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical process control methodologies.
Strong project management and analytical skills.
Experience in process validation, root cause analysis, and CAPA processes.
Ability to evaluate supplier technical, quality, and business capabilities.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with statistical analysis tools.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.

Responsibilities:

Lead supplier qualification and performance improvement initiatives.
Manage supplier relationships and drive operational excellence.
Oversee change management and engineering updates.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Support product development and supplier readiness.
Monitor and report supplier performance metrics.

Should Have:

Experience with CAD tools and 3D modeling.
Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with enterprise systems and agile methodologies.

Skills:

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Effective communication and leadership skills.
Project management and organizational capabilities.
Attention to detail and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Qualification And Education:

Bachelor s degree in Engineering required.
Advanced degree preferred.
