Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled CIAM (Customer Identity and Access Management) Developer to support the implementation, configuration, and onboarding of customer-facing applications onto enterprise CIAM platforms, primarily Ping Identity and Strivacity. In this role, you will design and support authentication, authorization, federation, and customer registration solutions while ensuring security, scalability, and an optimal user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- API & Journey Development: Design and develop customer authentication/registration journeys, custom event hooks, REST APIs, and profile management workflows.
- Platform Configuration: Configure, maintain, and support CIAM solutions using Ping Identity and/or Strivacity platforms.
- Application Onboarding: Onboard web, mobile, and API-based applications to enterprise CIAM services.
- Protocol & Security Implementation: Implement Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SAML integrations.
- Lifecycle Management: Build and maintain customer onboarding flows, login mechanisms, password management, and user profile lifecycle journeys.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Resolve complex authentication, authorization, federation, and access-related operational issues.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with application teams, security engineers, and identity architects to deliver robust, secure identity solutions.
- Platform Operations: Support platform upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing operational maintenance.
- Documentation & Standards: Create comprehensive technical documentation, application onboarding guides, and identity integration standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- IAM/CIAM Experience: 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in Identity and Access Management / Customer IAM.
- Platform Expertise: Proven hands-on experience with Ping Identity and/or Strivacity platforms.
- Standards & Protocols: Strong practical knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, JWT, and SCIM.
- API Integration: Hands-on experience integrating applications using REST APIs and core identity protocols.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical, diagnostic, and technical troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: Ping Identity certifications (e.g., PingFederate, PingOne, PingAccess).
- Identity Lifecycle: In-depth experience with customer identity lifecycle management and adaptive/risk-based authentication.
- Domain Knowledge: Prior experience in the Banking and Financial Services sector.
