Job Title : Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management
Location: 955 Park Street, Columbia, South Carolina
Responsibilities
Daily Responsibilities
- Manages SCDOT Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management environment,
which includes Microsoft Best Practices while deploying software and patch
management in accordance with SCDOT agency and IT Services policy and
procedures.
- Deploys Microsoft Windows operating system and patches, Microsoft Office Suite,
and patches as well as other agency software as needed to maintain compliance
with licenses and agency policies. Deploys DELL and other hardware patches to
production servers, endpoints and hardware accessories as needed to maintain
compliance with licenses and agency policies.
- Provides reports on the status of software deployments, versions, and patch levels
for all SCDOT servers, desktops, laptops, and tablets.
- Monitors Microsoft AppLocker settings and logs and recommends settings on
servers and endpoints.
- Maintains open communication with Desktop Support Manager and IT Systems
concerning Microsoft MECM environment and software deployment needs.
- Monitors Cloud Management Gateway.
- Assists with upgrading software on servers and endpoints devices to maintain
compliance with vendor software life cycle, hardware life cycle, and schedule
upgrades to software.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Monthly Responsibilities
- Observes and checks on available hardware and software patches from DELL,
Microsoft, and Recast for monthly patch management of servers, endpoints, and
hardware accessories.
- Attend Endpoint Technician meeting each month.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM).
- 3+ years of experience packaging software for Microsoft Endpoint Configuration
Management (MECM) distribution to Windows Client using Bare Metal and Software
Center.
- 3+ years of experience with hardware and software patch management using
Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM) and DELL Client System
Inventory Agent.
- 2+ years of experience with Microsoft PowerShell.
- 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
- 1+ years of experience with Microsoft DNS.
- 1+ years of experience with Microsoft DHCP scopes.
- 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Sites and Services.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Microsoft AppLocker.
- Experience with Microsoft Group Policy.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune.
- Experience with Microsoft Cloud Management Gateway.
- Experience with Recast Server and Manage Right Click Tools.
Required Education/Certifications
- Associate s degree or higher

- A second interview may be requested.
- Interviews will be scheduled 3 to 4 days after the position closes unless SCDOT is in
emergency operations.
