Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering methods and techniques on work of small projects or on portions of larger projects including HVAC and piping.
  • Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and assistance in deriving possible solutions to unusual problems.
  • Exercises limited judgment in making adaptations or modifications to design concepts.
  • Reviews work with supervisor to ensure the application of sound engineering practices and professional judgment.
  • May supervise, coordinate, and direct the work effort of designers on the same project with some responsibility for checking his/her portion of the completed drawings.
  • May write portions of specifications and assist in preparing cost estimates.
  • Performs design work in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Job may require use of AI or similar digital technology to perform the job function.

Qualifications

What You'll Need on Day One:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college program.
  • (3) three or more years of related practical experience is required.
  • Experience with, and the ability to size HVAC equipment, duct and ancillary equipment, hydronic and utility piping systems.
  • Knowledge and experience using AutoCAD, REVIT preferred, as well as Microsoft Software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience working on Automotive, Manufacturing, and Commercial projects is a plus.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license required.
