Job Description

Everforth ECS is seeking a Solution Architect to work in our Arlington, VA office / remote .

Everforth ECS is looking for a Solution Architect who is passionate about automation, enterprise transformation, and continuously driving innovation. Strong candidates will have a desire to modernize existing architecture and establish innovative new architectures, while driving strategic initiatives that take advantage of modern approaches to technology, business delivery, and data.

The Solution Architect is responsible for working with customers to gather requirements and design sustainable cloud architectures in AWS and Azure, while also factoring in the additional tools and software needed to meet the customer's needs. They will play a strategic role in painting a vision while merging technical, business, and customer needs into achievable objectives and driving the completion of those objectives. As an expert in delivering technical projects, the Solution Architect will identify challenges and improvements, then lead the solution development of those improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Independently applies a wide set of engineering disciplines for planning, design, analysis, coding, testing, roll-out and support of information systems architectures.
• Continuously optimizing Cloud platform services across all integration points.
• Interact closely with key project stakeholders to gather requirements, design, plan and implement operationally sustainable solutions.
• Work closely with the technical team to deliver proposed designs.
• Provide thought and design leadership.
• Serve as a technical SME for cloud services, providers, and platforms.
• Lead solution architecting sessions, evaluating tradeoffs between design, risk, and cost.
• Create technical solution proposals and cost estimates including labor, infrastructure, and licensing.
• Problem solve challenges as they arise.
• Adapt designs to new requirements or discoveries.
• Leverage data driven approach to continuous solution, organization, and workforce improvement.
• Optimizes performance across multiple teams by suggesting delivery process transformation towards evolving best practices based on each team and project context.

Salary Range: $140,000 - $175,000

• Minimum of 7 years of related experience including a broad background in various technology solutions, including:
• Cloud Services
• Infrastructure Automation
• DevSecOps
• Open Source Ecosystems

• Service Oriented Architecture
• Enterprise Architecture
• Microsoft
• ServiceNow
• Demonstrates a deep working knowledge of all aspects of Cloud Development Platforms.
• Including: IT operations, Virtualization, Containerization, Networking, Storage, Disaster Recovery, Security Policy and Controls implementation, System Management, and Data Migration.
• Demonstrates expertise in enterprise solution design and approaches to enterprise cloud solutions, and promotion of architecture principles along with conducting research in specific technology areas and being up-to-date with the latest of industry trends on application architectures.
• Demonstrates very good written and oral presentation skills and outstanding client-interaction skills.
• Thinks creatively and demonstrates the ability to work independently, or with a group, on complex tasks with little direction, supervision, and management oversight.

Desired Skills

• Significant experience with AWS and Azure service offerings
• Experience with multi-cloud implementations and cloud agnostic automation/orchestration tools
• Experience with security best practices and working through ATO/ATC/ATP or other security accreditation processes.
• Experience leveraging expertise to expand project work or to contribute to proposals and other corporate initiatives.
• Experience with DHS or other federal agencies
