Title: Process Engineer - Injection Molding

Location: Wilmington, MA (north of Boston)

Hybrid – onsite for locals

Job Description   

Prefers local candidates who can go onsite for an interview. Wants someone to go direct after 6 months.

Mandarin is NOT required.   Just a plus for anyone who can speak/understand it.

Process Engineer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Polymer, or related field) required.
  • Strong understanding of injection molding processes and automated manufacturing systems.
  • Experience developing SOPs, work instructions, and training materials.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex, cross-disciplinary process issues.
  • Proficiency in English required; Mandarin Chinese speaking ability strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with China-based R&D or manufacturing teams preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485, process validation, and regulated manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing, transferring, optimizing, and sustaining injection molding and automation processes.
  • Key interface between U.S. manufacturing operations and China-based R&D and process engineering teams.
  • Own and understand end-to-end injection molding and automation process flows.
  • Develop, review, and maintain SOPs, work instructions, control plans, and training materials.
  • Lead process optimization initiatives including yield improvement, defect reduction, and cycle-time optimization.
  • Troubleshoot complex process issues involving molding, automation, materials, and equipment interactions.
  • Define process parameters, engineering studies, and validation strategies in accordance with ISO 13485.
