Key Responsibilities
Perform code screening, analysis, and scraping of existing mainframe applications to identify dependencies, inefficiencies, risks, and optimization opportunities.
Analyze legacy applications and contribute to modernization, transformation, and migration strategies.
Design, develop, test, and maintain COBOL, DB2, and CICS-based applications.
Develop, enhance, and manage JCL jobs supporting batch processing and workflow scheduling.
Work with Control-M and enterprise scheduling tools for job automation, monitoring, and issue resolution.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integrations with distributed systems, APIs, and downstream applications.
Perform impact analysis and support application enhancements, defect fixes, and ongoing maintenance activities.
Ensure adherence to coding standards, performance best practices, and security guidelines.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, code changes, process flows, and operational procedures.
Support QA, UAT, deployment, and post-production validation activities.
