Azure Data Architect - Remote Role

Data architect to design, develop, and optimize our next-generation data platform. In this role, you will bridge the gap between raw data and actionable insights by building robust ETL/ELT pipelines and maintaining a scalable data architecture.

• Design and implement complex end-to-end data integration pipelines using Matillion and Python.
• Architect and manage large-scale data sets within Snowflake, ensuring optimal clustering, indexing, and storage strategies.
• Utilize Databricks (Spark) for high-volume data transformation, feature engineering, and stream processing.
• Build and maintain scalable data solutions within Azure (Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Key Vault).
• Contribute to the blueprinting of data models (Star/Snowflake schemas, Data Vault) and ensure alignment with enterprise data governance standards.
• Monitor and tune queries and pipeline performance to minimize latency and cloud compute costs.
• Proven experience with Matillion for ETL orchestration and Snowflake as a cloud data warehouse.
• Hands-on experience with the Azure data stack.
• Strong proficiency in Python (specifically for data manipulation libraries like Pandas, PySpark, or NumPy) and advanced SQL.
• Experience building and scaling clusters within Databricks.
• Deep understanding of Data Architecture principles, including data modeling, metadata management, and master data management (MDM).
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and deploying data pipelines through automated environments.
