Overview: Manages a team responsible for the warehousing, configuration and logistics required for the acquisition and distribution of corporate technology assets. Serves as subject matter expert in hardware asset management, inventory control, logistics, sustainability practices, and technology asset disposition. Ensures precise inventory records of assets, including desktop and laptop computers, mobile phones, printers, monitors, and other peripheral devices. Oversees shipping and receiving, refurbishment, data destruction, and environmentally responsible disposal of technology assets. Works with business units to identify and manage tasks related to end-of-use or surplus assets. Manages retail sale of end-of-use assets to internal and external parties as well as related retail showroom, e-commerce, and wholesale sales activities.
Primary Responsibilities:- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Technology Equipment Technicians, fostering an efficient and collaborative environment.
- Manage the installation of the operating system image on personal computers and other devices; work with cross-functional teams to escalate installation-related issues.
- Manage lifecycle management support for end-user computing and mobile devices, including asset tracking at each stage of lifecycle management. Manage environmentally responsible activities for responsible asset disposal.
- Serve as point person for work-related escalations; manage completion of related tasks and service requests to ensure service level agreements are met.
- Implement strategic and value-added improvements to activities managed to drive operational efficiency.
- Maintain comprehensive files and records, including procedures and control evidence, for audit reference purposes. Ensure process mapping and procedural documentation are current and accurate.
- Work with various Technology teams to develop and implement work request platform enhancements, process automation, and other initiatives.
- Facilitate meetings with third party vendors to coordinate activities for project success.
- Oversee stockroom inventory management and semi-annual auditing to track our computer inventory.
- Record all sales with customers, recyclers, wholesale outlets, appraisal firms, auction networks, and related entities per Finance policies and Federal regulations to ensure complete documentation.
- Compile key metrics and provide senior management with regular reporting on activities managed.
- Maintain and enhance professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
- Exercise usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, performance management and terminations.
- Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Design, implement, maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
- Promote an environment that supports a culture of belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
Scope of Responsibilities:This position requires on-site attendance and serves as an assistant manager and back-up to the Corporate ReUse Manager.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:No. of Staff - 10; may manage additional contract employees
Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years' related work experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 6 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years' related work experience
Minimum of 2 years' work leadership and/or supervisory experience
Proficiency with pertinent word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, diagramming, and meeting software
Proficiency using pertinent work tracking platform
Proficiency using pertinent asset tracking software
Proven verbal and written communication skills
Proven presentation skills
Proven analytical skills
Experience in one-on-one negotiation and sales
Valid driver's license
Knowledge of forward and reverse logistics
Experience using hand trucks and pallet jacks
Forklift certified within 30 days of hire
Education and Experience Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Business Administration or related field
CompTIA A+, Microsoft, Google, IAITAM (International Association of IT Asset Management), and/or other relevant certifications
Previous technical support experience
Forklift certified
Passing the Bank's motor vehicle check
Physical Requirements:Availability and ability to travel up to 30% of the time throughout the US
M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $74,600.00 - $124,400.00 Annual (USD). The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
