Summary

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Electromechanical Technician for a contract position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in High Point, NC. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

Under the supervision of the Maintenance/Utilities Engineer, this role is responsible for maintaining the machinery and equipment of the molding and assembly department. The position involves troubleshooting and supporting various PLC formats, with a heavy emphasis on Allen-Bradley hardware and software, while adhering to company policy, cGMP, and FDA requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and support various PLC formats with a heavy emphasis on Allen-Bradley PLC/HMI hardware and software (SLC, PLC, ControlLogix, PanelView)
  • Operate primary plant equipment such as chillers, dryers, compressors, cooling towers, HVAC, and pumping systems
  • Execute and document preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical devices including barrels, cylinders, valves, pumps, and gearboxes
  • Set up and operate metalworking tools like drill presses, grinders, welders, and lathes to fabricate and repair parts
  • Follow all safety and environmental rules and participate in related training and activities
  • Develop and implement continuous improvements through kaizen methodology

Requirements:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of related maintenance experience and/or combination training in electrical and electronics/controls
  • Associate degree in a technical field like electrical, automation, or mechatronics is preferred
  • 2+ years of experience with related automated equipment
  • Good knowledge of equipment and work tools (multimeter, megohmmeter, ammeter)
  • Solid knowledge of mechanics and electronics; robotics is desirable
  • Able to interpret mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams (USA and EU)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Pay range: up to $30.00 per hour
