About the jobWe are hiring a Senior Engineer, Blockchain Platforms to help build and integrate the blockchain infrastructure layer that underpins our digital asset custody and tokenization platforms.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on Layer-1 blockchain integration, core blockchain infrastructure components, wallet engineering, and custody-related blockchain workflows. You will work in close partnership with Crypto Custody Lead Engineers and Crypto Security Engineers to ensure blockchain interactions are secure, reliable, observable, and production-ready.
Operating at the intersection of blockchain protocol mechanics and institutional custody systems, you will establish strong foundations for scalable digital-asset custody platforms. Success in this role means blockchain integrations are predictable, wallet pipelines behave correctly across edge-case chain conditions, and custody systems interact with blockchains safely and consistently.
Responsibilities - Layer-1 Blockchain Integration: Integrate internal systems with existing Layer-1 blockchains. Evaluate, build, or extend capabilities to meet custody, scalability, or resiliency needs while managing chain-level mechanics (e.g., finality, forks, reorgs).
- Infrastructure Development: Design and build core blockchain infrastructure services, including indexers, event processors, block explorers, observability tooling, and cross-chain integration components.
- Wallet Architecture: Build blockchain-facing wallet services, transaction creation and signing pipelines, and integrate with custody key management systems (MPC, HSMs, signing services).
- Workflow Management: Manage custody-related blockchain workflows, including on-chain transaction execution, event monitoring, reconciliation, and chain-specific failure handling and recovery.
- Engineering Rigor: Apply modern engineering practices to build reliable and testable services. Leverage GenAI tools to accelerate code development, testing, and documentation without sacrificing safety or correctness.
Minimum qualifications: - 7 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience building or integrating blockchain or distributed ledger systems.
- Experience building backend services, APIs, and infrastructure components.
- Programming experience in one or more general-purpose languages, including Go, Java, Rust, or Python.
- Experience with Layer-1 blockchain protocols and transaction lifecycles.
Preferred qualifications: - Experience with blockchain indexers, explorers, or chain analytics systems.
- Experience with wallet architecture and blockchain signing workflows.
- Experience working with crypto custody platforms or security-sensitive financial systems.
- Experience debugging in distributed, asynchronous environments.
- Experience using Generative AI or agentic AI tooling to support complex software development and protocol analysis.
