What We Need Corpay is currently looking to hire a Database Architect within our lodging division based in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in database design, development, and management, with a particular emphasis on stored procedures, database architecture, and CI/CD pipeline integration for DB changes. You will be instrumental in designing, optimizing, and automating our database systems to ensure high performance, scalability, and security

Role Responsibilities The responsibilities of the role will include:
- Designing and implementing efficient database architectures that align with business requirements.
- Quickly adapting to understanding existing database schemas, including tables, relationships, stored procedures, and data types.
- Creating comprehensive documentation of current database setups, including schema designs, data flows, process flows and architectural diagrams.
- Developing, optimizing, and maintaining stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
- Collaborating with application developers to create database solutions that enhance application performance.
- Implementing CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment of SQL changes and ensure consistent database environments.
- Performing database modeling, data mapping, and data migration.
- Monitoring database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary improvements.
- Ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards. Create documentation of database designs, procedures, and best practices for development and operational teams.
- Staying current with emerging database technologies and trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Providing guidance and mentorship to junior database team members.
Qualifications & Skills - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Database Architect or similar role, with a focus on relational databases.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with stored procedure development.
- Familiarity with database management systems Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience implementing CI/CD practices for database changes, including version control and automated testing.
- Knowledge of database design principles, data modeling, and normalization techniques.
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization of database queries.
- Understanding of database security best practices and compliance regulations.
- Understanding of hosting and monitoring best practices for DB in Azure cloud.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Background of Airlines/Hospitality industry is a plus.
