Location - Remote

Position Summary

We are seeking an IT Security Help Desk Analyst to provide frontline support for security-related incidents, user access requests, and cybersecurity operations. The ideal candidate will assist in protecting organizational systems and data by responding to security alerts, supporting identity and access management processes, and helping users comply with security policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for security-related support requests and incidents.
  • Monitor, triage, and escalate security alerts and suspicious activities to appropriate teams.
  • Support user account management, password resets, and access provisioning/deprovisioning.
  • Assist with Identity and Access Management (IAM) processes and user access reviews.
  • Investigate phishing reports, malware alerts, and security policy violations.
  • Support endpoint security, antivirus, and device compliance activities.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps in the ticketing system.
  • Educate users on cybersecurity best practices and security awareness initiatives.
  • Assist with security audits, compliance activities, and evidence collection.
  • Maintain knowledge base articles and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in IT Help Desk, Service Desk, Technical Support, or Security Operations.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, threats, vulnerabilities, and controls.
  • Experience with user account administration and access management.
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems and common enterprise applications.
  • Familiarity with ticketing and incident management systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with security monitoring and alerting tools.
  • Familiarity with:
    • Microsoft Defender
    • Splunk
    • Microsoft Entra ID
    • ServiceNow
  • Understanding of phishing, malware, endpoint protection, and incident response processes.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks and security best practices.
  • Relevant certifications such as:
    • CompTIA Security+
    • ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC)
    • CompTIA Network+
