Role: AWS Modernization Architect

Location: Troy, MI

Duration: Full Time

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• Expertise in migrating workloads from on-premise to AWS using 7 R pattern.
• Expertise in designing the target deployment architecture
• Experience in various AWS migration tools
• Expertise in Network and Security components within AWS
• Designing & Developing AWS Cloud Based Systems using Cloud Formation or Terraform
• Hand on experience in implementing and supporting AWS environments
• Designing & Developing AWS Cloud Based Systems using cloud native tools
• In depth understanding of Cloud Architecture & ability to advice/work on end to end cloud infrastructure
• Development of Cloud workflows and processes
• Designing and Developing Monitoring solutions using AWS native services
• Conversant with the best practices for Cloud security & Scalability, Should be well versed and knowledgeable on the pillars of Well Architected Framework

Good-to-Have

• Expertise in the AWS cloud PaaS stack - including AWS Lambda, ECS, EKS, IAM, etc.
• Implement the application s CI/CD pipeline using the AWS CI/CD stack
• Have executed and deployed solutions in containerized platforms
• Experience in developing and handling third party specialty software s like Cloud Custodian , Elastic Stack
• Experience in multiple public cloud deployments

Role descriptions / Expectations from the Role

• Work with the project stakeholders to understand the business needs. Propose architecture solutions to meet the business requirements
• Ensure architectural compliance to development, security and infrastructure standards across the design
• Should be prepared to lead and execute transformational infrastructure projects like migration from on-premises to public cloud infrastructure.
• Should act as a mentor to build confidence and scale up the younger resources in the team

Technology Brief

• Infrastructure Solution Architect, responsible for Design, Implementation and Documentations of Cloud Foundation in AWS Platform. Analyze customer systems and proposing the scope of cloud adoption and migrations accordingly. Proposing the suitable products and their optimal combinations for the cloud environment and migrations to cloud. Sizing and Capacity Planning of the cloud infrastructure
