Summary

SHIFT: Typically, 5 days a week from 3:00pm to 11:30pm. Can vary based on business need.

POSITION SUMMARY: The General Maintenance / Duty Engineer performs day-to-day maintenance activities to ensure facilities, equipment, and grounds are safe, functional, and well-maintained.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Perform routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on facilities, equipment, and grounds.
  • Troubleshoot and complete complex repairs across multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and company policies.
  • Ensures work is done in a quality and timely manner.
  • Work with other departments to address maintenance needs and minimize operational impact.
  • Maintain accurate records of work orders, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance issues as needed.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum years of experience: 1 year in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing
  • Certificate(s) or License(s): Possess a valid Missouri "E" or Arkansas "D" driver's license with "P" endorsement

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in operating work order management systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to work independently.
