QA Automation Engineer

Job Title: Senior QA Automation Engineer 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with 12+ years of expertise in test automation, quality assurance, and software testing. The ideal candidate will lead automation strategy, design robust test frameworks, and ensure high-quality software delivery across complex systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks

• Create and execute automated test scripts for web, API, and mobile applications

• Define and implement QA strategies, standards, and best practices

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders

• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing

• Develop and maintain CI/CD-integrated test automation pipelines

• Analyze test results, identify defects, and track them to resolution

• Ensure test coverage, quality metrics, and reporting

• Conduct root cause analysis of defects and production issues

• Mentor junior QA engineers and guide automation best practices

• Participate in code reviews and design discussions

• Drive continuous improvement in QA processes and tools

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

• 12+ years of experience in QA/Software Testing with strong automation focus

• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript

• Expertise in automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or TestNG

• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured)

• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC

• Experience with test framework design (BDD, TDD frameworks like Cucumber)

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)

• Experience in defect tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla)

• Knowledge of version control systems (Git)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)

• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

• Exposure to mobile automation (Appium)

• Familiarity with security testing practices

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
