Why You'll Love This RoleWe are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a remote-first, cross-functional team of Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) responsible for the quality and reliability of all Cribl products. This is a hands-on leadership role in ensuring that quality is built-in from the start of the software development lifecycle, implementing test strategy from design to release with agentic workflows. You'll play a key role in driving engineering excellence, delivering high-quality products to our customers.
As An Active Member Of Our Team, You Will...- Own the quality strategy across Cribl products and communicate metrics for data-driven prioritization of the team's roadmap
- Lead continuous improvement in test automation, CI stability, defect prevention, root-cause analysis, and escape-rate reduction.
- Continuously optimize end to end pipelines for both quality and velocity, removing bottlenecks for both people and agentic workflows
- Foster a "customer first" mindset by continuously running failure analysis to close the testing gap with customer deployments
- Establish a strong partnership with product management and engineering managers to ensure quality standards are implemented from the start
- Coach, mentor, and grow a remote-first team of exceptional test engineers focusing on agentic workflows
- This position may include stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties
If You've Got It - We Want It - Hands-on experience in establishing testing strategy and defining quality metrics for products that will be deployed in both SaaS as well as customer managed environments
- Thorough understanding of the SDLC and the changes required for agentic development
- Strong understanding of test architecture, automation, CI/CD, observability, release management, and root-cause analysis.
- Experience with AI-developed tests and workflows
- BS CS/EE or equivalent practical experience with 10+ years of industry experience, including 4+ years in a technical leadership role

The salary for this role is dependent on geographic location and will be based on the individual candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
In addition to base salary, for sales and some sales-adjacent roles, employees are eligible to earn incentive compensation (commission). For all other roles, employees are eligible to participate in the Cribl Corporate Bonus Program.

Base Salary Range
$225,000-$270,000 USD
