The IT & Security Audit Analyst III supports Allstate's Internal Audit team in executing audits across IT, cybersecurity, data governance, and business operations. Working closely with senior team members, this role performs foundational tasks such as collecting audit evidence, assisting with control testing, documenting results, and learning internal audit standards and risk frameworks.
This role is a launching point for those interested in risk and technology, providing exposure to Agile-based auditing, foundational data analysis, and emerging tools like generative AI. The analyst will develop a strong understanding of Allstate's technology environment, business processes, and the controls that protect them.
Key Responsibilities:
Request and organize audit evidence (e.g., access logs, system settings, process screenshots) using predefined templates
Begin exploring automation tools (e.g., Power BI, Python scripts) and generative AI prompts for audit documentation.
Conduct basic data testing using Excel (e.g., filter, pivot tables) and structured templates.
Perform basic control tests such as password configuration checks, access review validations, or reconciliation matching
Participate in daily stand-ups and retrospectives to communicate status, help deliver on backlog and learn from team feedback.
Support testing or monitoring of remediation efforts for closed findings, following audit procedures.
Assist in preparing audit engagement documentation (e.g., process narratives, risk/control matrices) under guidance & Perform control walkthroughs with control owners to understand business or IT process design.
Shadow senior auditors on stakeholder interviews, issue discussions, and final report presentations.
Track audit task assignments and update planner boards during Agile sprint cycles.
Maintain organized and complete audit workpapers within the audit management system (e.g., TeamMate or Workiva).

CompensationCompensation offered for this role is 52,800.00 - 80,475.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
