Solution Architect - CMDB/CSDM

Role Overview

Seeking a hands-on Solution Architect to strengthen visibility into network dependencies supporting external-facing and business-critical internal applications. This business-critical role will help teams understand service topology, identify failure impact and improve incident diagnosis through accurate CMDB and CSDM-aligned service models.

Key Responsibilities

• Design CMDB and service topology models connecting applications, APIs, infrastructure and network components.
• Map end-to-end application traffic and data flows, including upstream and downstream dependencies.
• Investigate discovery and mapping gaps affecting visibility into network failures and business impact.
• Configure and improve ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, reconciliation and CMDB data quality.
• Use APIs, Python and integration techniques to validate dependencies and address discovery gaps.
• Guide application, network and operations teams on service ownership, criticality and topology standards.

Required Experience

• Strong ServiceNow ITOM architecture experience across CMDB, CSDM, Discovery and Service Mapping.
• Solid understanding of routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers, DNS and network troubleshooting.
• Ability to trace application connectivity across APIs, middleware, databases and hybrid infrastructure.
• Hands-on Python scripting, REST API integration and discovery pattern development.
• Experience supporting critical services in banking or similarly complex enterprise environments.
• Strong stakeholder communication and ability to provide practical architectural guidance during service failures.

Work Model:

• Hybrid work schedule: 3 days/week at one of the listed locations is required.
