Job Summary

The Camera Assembly Process Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, improving, and sustaining manufacturing processes used to assemble camera-level products. This role supports production readiness, quality, throughput, traceability, tooling, and test integration across assembly and troubleshooting operations. The engineer works closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Test, Design Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operators to ensure robust, repeatable, and cost-effective camera assembly processes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed camera assembly process flows, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Define and optimize assembly sequences for components such as housings, lenses, boards, spacers, fasteners, labels, and subassemblies.
  • Support new product introduction, pilot builds, and transition to full-rate production.
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues on the production floor and implement corrective actions.
  • Establish line balancing, workstation layouts, and bench utilization plans for assembly and troubleshooting stations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering field and 0+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education/training and experience
  • Specialties may include manufacturing, production, industrial, welding, tooling, testing, processing, software, and robotics

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
