Electronics Test Engineer

Location: Baltimore, MD (Onsite)
Job Type: Contract

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Electronics Test Engineer with strong RF and digital hardware knowledge to support the performance, testing, and delivery of advanced microelectronic products. In this role, you will work hands-on with production hardware, lead troubleshooting efforts, support integration activities, and analyze test data to drive yield improvements and corrective actions.

You will collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to ensure high-quality hardware delivery and continuous improvement of test processes.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and implement improved testing methods and procedures
  • Troubleshoot and support RF and digital hardware, including complex digital circuit boards
  • Evaluate and disposition Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), including root-cause analysis and fault isolation across digital, analog, and power circuits
  • Support First-Time-Through Test Yield (FTTTY) and hardware delivery goals
  • Analyze test results to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities
  • Recommend updates to test equipment, procedures, and manufacturing processes
  • Partner with design engineering to implement hardware improvements
  • Provide troubleshooting guidance and training to test technicians
  • Monitor product yields and drive actions to meet program targets
  • Participate in program meetings to present yield data, issues, and corrective action plans
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, test, design, systems engineering, and program management teams


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field with 2+ years of relevant experience, or
    Master's degree in a related STEM field with 0 years of experience
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, specifications, parts lists, and block diagrams
  • Experience with digital and RF hardware systems
  • Working knowledge of RF theory, digital circuit design, and RF concepts
  • Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (DMM, oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc.)
  • Proficiency with MS Office and the ability to communicate findings clearly across teams


Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Engineering or a related STEM discipline
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal guidance
  • Experience with FPGAs and JTAG
  • Familiarity with LabWindows CVI, C/C++
  • Experience with NI TestStand
  • Proficiency with digital, analog, and RF test equipment and high-speed digital systems
  • Experience with LVDS and differential digital interfaces
  • Exposure to PXI/PXIe or VME bus systems
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills for electrical hardware
