The Opportunity

StaffRight Associates is recruiting for a Java Full Stack Developer to help a client organization move its mortgage technology into the cloud. As the Java Full Stack Developer, you will retire aging desktop software in favor of modern web platforms built on Java and Angular, and bring Java engineering into an environment that has long run on .NET. This fully remote, United States–based position is an 18+ month contract engagement on a W2 basis.

What You’ll Do

  • Transition legacy desktop software onto modern browser-based platforms, pairing a Java back end with an Angular front end
  • Engineer cloud-native Azure solutions that bring mortgage origination systems up to date
  • Convert and restructure existing .NET code into Java across mortgage technology applications
  • Launch and sustain web applications within Azure
  • Design database capabilities with SQL and managed cloud data services
  • Champion Java engineering practices within teams that have traditionally worked in .NET
  • Configure Azure infrastructure to support smooth application rollouts
  • Revitalize the systems and data that surround the mortgage platform
  • Drive full-stack delivery spanning back-end services and front-end interfaces

What You Bring

  • Proven Java back-end engineering experience, with a record of delivering scalable applications
  • Practical experience deploying and operating web applications on Azure
  • Strong Angular front-end skills to round out Full Stack Development
  • Command of SQL along with Cloud Databases
  • Working knowledge of .NET, sufficient to read legacy code and convert it to Java
  • Comfort working across cloud environments and configuring Cloud-Native Applications
  • A track record of Legacy Application Modernization and Cloud Migration projects

Compensation & Total Rewards

  • Hourly rate: $65 - $70+/hr
  • Engagement: 18+ month contract, fully remote within Eastern Time Zone
  • W2 only; C2C and subcontracting arrangements are not available
