Job Description

Paychex is seeking an experienced Senior Snowflake Data Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable cloud-based data solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake, Databricks, PySpark, Python, SQL, and Azure technologies. You will be responsible for building robust ETL/ELT pipelines, optimizing data processing, and delivering high-quality data solutions that support business analytics and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and Databricks.
Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using PySpark, Python, and SQL.
Develop and maintain data models, Snowflake objects, and data warehouse solutions.
Integrate data from multiple sources using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).
Optimize Snowflake performance through query tuning and best practices.
Collaborate with business users, data architects, and application teams to understand requirements and deliver data solutions.
Implement data quality, governance, and security standards.
Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.
Follow Agile development methodologies and CI/CD best practices.

Required Skills

10+ years of Data Engineering experience.
5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake.
Strong experience with Databricks, PySpark, Python, and SQL.
Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), and Delta Lake.
Strong understanding of Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT, and dimensional modeling.
Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
