Role: Workday Procurement Implementation Specialist

Work Location: TBD. Likely remote — onsite/hybrid/remote expectations are still being confirmed

Duration: TBD (estimating 12-18 months), but expected to align with the implementation, testing, training, go-live, and stabilization phases

The client clarified that this is **not a high-level advisory-only role**. They need someone tactical who can be in the weeds with their Procurement Lead during the Workday implementation. Accenture is the SI and will lead from the advisory/functional lead perspective, but KCMO needs a practical Workday resource who can support the City team directly through implementation activities.

Please focus on candidates with hands-on Workday Procurement / Financials experience who can support:

• Workday Procurement
• Strategic Sourcing
• Supplier Management / Supplier Accounts
• Contract Lifecycle Management / CLM
• Procurement testing and UAT
• Design support
• Training readiness
• Data validation
• Defect triage and issue follow-up
• Implementation readiness and stabilization

The ideal candidate does not need to be the overall architect or functional lead, but they must be strong enough to work independently with the City’s Procurement Lead, project managers, KCPD stakeholders, and Accenture.

Target profile:

• 5+ years of Workday functional experience
• Strong Workday Procurement / Financials background
• Experience with at least two of the following: Procurement, Supplier Accounts, Strategic Sourcing, CLM, Contracts, Inventory, or Procure-to-Pay
• Prior Workday implementation experience
• Strong testing, training, documentation, and data validation experience
• Ability to work tactically and communicate clearly with business users
• Public sector, municipal, higher education, healthcare, utility, or other complex ERP experience is preferred
• Workday certification is preferred, especially Financials, Spend, Procurement, or Inventory
