Job OverviewTE Connectivity's technical service support team manages many aspects sustaining of a product line for the Energy Americas commercial team, from presales technical support to creating new products and all associated documentation. The team works closely with product management, sales, customer care, engineering, and manufacturing. They are responsible for overall product support to sustain the product lines to help meet sales and profit targets of the business.
This is a full remote position based in the US. The ideal candidate is based in the Eastern time zone.As a Technical Service Engineer, a typical day may include:
- Assist Sales and Engineering with new designs for heat shrink cable accessory kits.
- Create installation instructions for new kits or modify existing instructions when needed.
- Support Quality Department with field failure analysis in the factory on returned LV, MV, or HV heat shrink cable accessory kits when the customer requests factory failure analysis.
- Coordinate prototypes for testing with Engineering and provide technical assistance to design feasibility and make recommendations for necessary changes.
- Provide technical and commercial support to internal (sales, product management production, and engineering) and external customers on LV, MV, & HV Cable Accessories
- Provide back up support for cold applied cable accessories technical service team as needed.
- Support cost reduction activities for the PM team.
- Support Operations team with product substitution alternatives as needed.
What your background should look like:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or in related technical field, with 5+ years' experience; or, those without degree but with 10+ medium voltage cable or cable accessory experience, will be considered
- Experience in product management, technical support, manufacturing engineering, application engineering, and/or technical sales preferred
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude skills are preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required

COMPENSATION Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $109,300 - $164,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
